Procrastination: A vicious circle

We all have been through the phase where we try to shrug off our tasks for the next day, the coming Sunday, the start of the month or 1st day of the year. Why? There is no specific reason as to why we do it. Personally, I do it because, I think a new day will make me more productive than starting the task at the end of the day and I think you some of you will also agree to it. We all know what we always do. The very thing which we all love 'Procrastination'.

It something I ashamed to admit but I am a 'pro' in it. Even after facing the ill-effects of procrastination, I still manage to do it effortlessly, without as much as lifting my finger. Nothing to be proud about if you can agree with it. I have tried a lot of times to break-free from this cycle but it feels almost impossible to do so. I had put app timers on my most used apps, made to-do lists for the day, reduced social contacts and gatherings and left every other pass time activity I do but the results were never in my favour. The main culprit is my lethargic self. I would end up watching reels, shorts or dramas on social media platforms and would swear to quit it at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00,.... and so on. That's where a small problem became a big pile of obstacles in achieving my goals. I am not talking only about academic goals but from a overall growth perspective.

Now, you may all think, I must've found a genius solution for this problem. Sadly, no, there is no solution to this except perseverance, consistency and discipline. The main things needed to achieve your aims and goals. Many will think I am just repeating bookish knowledge of self-help books but my friends, it is the very true we need to accept. It is extremely hard to break this vicious circle but not difficult enough to succumb to it. With determination, self-discipline and will-power, we can break-free from it.

I heard, it takes 30 days to form a routine or a habit. We need to form a new routine free of procrastination and reverse our wrong doings. We all owe this to the 'young you' inside you who aspires to achieve great things in future.

Gentle reminder to my cute book buggers:
Even content creators don't became overnight rich for a Tik-Tok video.

How is this post, quite relatable??
